    The WSPN Peer Mentoring Program (PMP)
    The Peer Mentor Program (PMP) is a great benefit of your WSPN membership. Most of us can remember the
    uncertainties we faced with our first major campaign or event as a fundraising professional, our first experience with
    a challenging volunteer, or a time when we anguished over our next career move. Therefore we can appreciate the
    importance and value of “mentors” in our profession. For those in the midst of their first years in fundraising, we are
    here to tell you - you aren't alone. WSPN's PMP can help you!PMP is an all-volunteer support service that provides
    encouragement and guidance to develop strategies, face challenges and grow in your position through one-on-one
    mentoring.

    WHO…
    It is for individuals who are a current WSPN member and would like to be paired with an experienced fundraiser. The
    PMP offers persons who are early in their fundraising careers or people who are switching development arenas an
    opportunity to advance their professional skills.

    PROTEGES…
     Complete a Protégé application
    Return application with your resume
    Applicants notified upon receipt of application
    Protégé matched according to needs and the Mentor’s experience and skill
    Contact and service can be via e-mail or phone
    Meetings, if necessary, are at the discretion of each party
    At the conclusion, complete an evaluation on your experience

    MENTORS…
    A mentor is a senior-level, experienced fundraising professional who can provide guidance to help you develop
    policy, fine-tune strategies, plan activities, direct to information resources, volunteer management, etc. To be a
    mentor you must, be an active member of WSPN; a minimum of 5 years development experience; and commit to
    participate in the program for one year providing meaningful insights and support to your assigned protégé.
